Following a Needs Assessment conducted on the 1st of July 2025, Nation First Foundation identified urgent healthcare gaps affecting residents of Wumba Community in Apo ward, AMAC, Abuja. Our team visited the Primary Health Centre and surrounding settlements, engaging with community members and frontline staff. What we found was deeply concerning - healthcare delivery in the community is on the brink of collapse, with little to no support reaching those who need it most.
In response, Nation First Foundation swiftly initiated a Medical Emergency Intervention on the 23rd of July, 2025. This was not just a visit; it was a bold call to action. The goal was clear: bring visibility to the crisis, draw media and stakeholder attention, and mobilize support to save lives restore dignity to Wumba’s healthcare system.
